Google Drive Event Channel

Google Drive Event ChannelThe menu is a screen for installing and managing drive-level change notification (webhook) channels to apply the SHIELD DRM service to Google Drive.

Google Drive is a change notification (webhook) method for installing channels on a drive basis. Channels have an expiration time and are automatically re-registered periodically. Document events from drives where channels are not installed are not received, and conditional policies are not applied.

Screen Configuration​

SHIELD DRM Admin Page연동 관리 > Google Drive 이벤트 채널Click on the menu to access.

It is provided in two tabs according to the difference in event recipients.

  • **My Drive Tab:**Manage the channel installation status of personal drives (My Drive) on a user basis.
  • **Shared Drive Tab:**Manage the channel installation status by the organization's shared drive unit.

The two tabs are independently queried, installed, and synchronized. When switching tabs, the search term, filter, and page position are reset.

My Drive​

List Information​

itemExplanation
UserThe display name of Google Workspace users.
User IDThe email address of the user account.
Channel Installation StatusIndicates whether a change notification channel is installed on the user's My Drive.
Last verification dateThe time when the channel status was last checked. It is displayed based on the time zone of the connection environment.

Channel Installation Status​

  • 설치: The notification channel has been successfully installed.
  • 미설치: The channel is not installed. Document events for the specified drive will not be received.
  • 지원하지 않음: This is the case when the account cannot use Google Drive, etc., and is not a target for channel installation.

채널 설치 상태Clicking the filter icon of the column allows you to filter the list by status. Only one status can be selected at a time, and초기화Release with the button.

Shared Drive​

List Information​

Last verification dateThis is the last time the channel status was checked.

Shared drives are all subject to channel installation, so unlike My Drive,지원하지 않음The status is not displayed.

In the search bar,Drive NameEnter.

Channel Installation and Uninstallation​

  1. Select the checkbox for the target item in the list. Clicking the checkbox in the header will select all items displayed on the current page.
  2. 채널 설치or채널 해제Click the button. If no items are selected, both buttons are disabled.
  3. When the request is received, a notification popup will be displayed and the list will be refreshed.

Synchronization and Refresh​

  • 동기화: Import and reflect the latest user list or shared drive list from Google Workspace. It only operates on the currently selected tab, so you need to run it separately for My Drive and Shared Drives.
  • 새로 고침: Retrieves the saved list again. Google Workspace queries are not performed.

Precautions​

  • New users and new drives are not detected in real time. 동기화must appear in the list when executed or periodic batch operations are performed.
  • After appearing in the list, the channel will not be installed automatically, so the administrator채널 설치must be executed directly.
  • Documents on drives where the channel is not installed are not subject to conditional policies. When broadening the scope of policy application, please first check the channel installation status of the target drive.
  • This menu is설정 > 클라우드 서비스Displayed only when Google Workspace is selected.
  • Use of the menuGoogle Drive 이벤트 채널You need role permissions. The install, uninstall, and sync buttons will be disabled for administrators without permissions.
